I am really looking forward to the release of the Nike+ FuelBand next month. Nike has developed a new type of measurement called fuel. It measures all activity across sports. The daily average fuel is 4,000, the band allows you to track your daily fuel and compare it to your fuel goals. They also created an iOS app that allows you to share your progress on various media sites. The app won’t be out until the FuelBand release next month. The FuelBand also measures calories, is a pedometer–measuring how many steps you have taken–and is a watch. It’s also water and sweat proof, so after a hard work out you won’t have to worry about taking it off to shower. I’m really looking forward to trying this out. Nike is smart by keeping up with the digital society today and incorporating social media into their products. Props to Mark Parker, Nike’s CEO, for heading the launch of the Nike+ FuelBand!
